The Global Thunder is a bilingual ( English and French) online magazine which provides truthful, just and insightful analyses, news and reports on and about relevant current events, global issues and trends which make or mar the individual and collective destiny of all humans. Unlike old fashioned media which keep brainwashing and misleading the ruck, the public opinion, their readers, listerners and viewers, The Global Thunder is committed to speaking the truth so that the ruck, the public opinion, our readership and audience may know; for “knowledge is power,” as the saying goes. And above all, we (always) bear in mind that the Lord Jesus the Christ said: ” […] If you continue in My word, you are truly My disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” ( John 8: 31-32).
As a scholar in media studies/mass communications, we know that most people do no longer rely upon old-fashioned media because they have realized that old-fashioned/obsolete media often subject the public opinion to disinformation and deceit. Most people shun old-fashioned media and turn to ultramodern media for their daily news consumption. In case you did not know it, there are three main factors which cause old-fashioned media to mislead the public opinion: their respective ideological or political leaning (the tendency), the dishonesty of their media practitioners and their corruption. The only way to overcome these shortcomings and to report objectively on current affairs is to always steer clear of the evils which defile or make a human being unclean before God: ” For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man” ( Mark 7, 21-23). Moreover, conventional wisdom has it that “cleanliness [of heart] is next to godliness“.
Also, a media practitioner who practices partiality can only write, publish or broadcast misleading and tin-pot pieces or articles. Therefore, it´s crucial for people who claim to be media practitioners to be bereft of any partiality: “My brothers, show no partiality as you hold the faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory” ( James 2, 1; The Bible/English Standard Version). This entails that only God-fearing media practitioners and/or journalists are reliable and trustworthy. God-fearing media practitioners don´t stick to the tendency ( the ideological or political leaning) of their media organization. God-fearing media practitioners and/or journalists are imbued with the truth and justice; they stick to these two core values.
The Global Thunder, an ultra-modern webzine, is run by God-fearing people, who hate evil: ” The fear of Jehovah is to hate evil […]” ( Proverbs 8:13). Once again, a God-fearing human being is someone who steers clear of or gets rid of the things which defile human beings before God. In this regard, the Lord Jesus the Christ said: ” What comes out of a person is what defiles them. For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and defile a person” ( Mark 7: 20-23).
A God-fearing human being is someone who eschews the works of the flesh, for whoever practices the works of the flesh will not inherit the kingdom of God and has no fellowship with God: “The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God” ( Galatians 5: 19-21).
